At Knit and Knot, we believe in adding a sprinkle of magic to every room—one word at a time! Each of our custom knitted wire names is lovingly handcrafted by a busy mum of three (that’s me!) who juggles the chaos of family life, day jobs, and a passion for creating beautiful things.
What Makes Our Names Special?
Every name is hand-shaped from wire and wrapped in soft, 100% cotton yarn, making each piece a cozy and colourful addition to your home. Whether it’s your little one’s name, a meaningful word, or a fun phrase, our knitted wire art adds a playful touch to nurseries, bedrooms, playrooms, or any space that needs a dash of personality!
Customise Your Creation
Choose from a rainbow of 48 vibrant colours! With so many colours to choose from, there’s something for every style and mood. Just remember, colours might vary slightly from the photos you see—yarn batches and screen resolutions can be a bit tricky like that. But, that’s what makes each piece uniquely yours!
The Nitty-Gritty Details:
- Height: Approximately 10-14 cm tall.
- Length: all depends on the word or name you choose!
- Safety First:While these names are oh-so-cute, they’re not toys. Keep them out of reach of tiny hands. The wire ends are rounded for safety, but please handle them with care—they’re delicate little works of art!
- Hanging Tips:We recommend using small nails or 3mm hooks to hang your creation. You can also prop them on a shelf or hang them on a peg rail. But please, no Velcro, Blu-Tak, tape, or sticky stuff—it might damage your piece, and we’d hate to see that happen!
- Making a phrase? This listing is for a single word, if you would like to make a phrase or saying, you will need to buy multiple words - or contact me to discuss!
- Please note: names will be made as written, please check your spelling. Fadas and hyphens are the only punctuation permitted. Please contact me if you wish to order an exclamation or question mark. Capital letters are only permitted at the start of each name, if you would prefer lowercase please make sure it is written this way.
A Little Patience, Please!
Because these names are handmade with love (and occasionally interrupted by snack breaks, school runs, and even illness occasionally), it can take up to 12 working days for your order to be dispatched. I usually work faster, but this is a small, family-run business, and I’m committed to making sure every piece is perfect before it leaves my hands. I promise, it’ll be worth the wait! If you’re in a hurry to get your goodies, just add “Rush My Order” to your basket! Your item will skip the line and be on its way in 3-5 business days!
Please Note:
Due to the handmade nature of our products, once the wire has been shaped, it can’t be returned if misshapen. So please handle with care and make sure it’s displayed where it can be admired without risk!
Unfortunately, it is not possible to re-bend the wire back into shape to the standard I would be happy with. Therefore, I cannot remake items from products that have been bent out of shape.
